The Adani Group will invest Rs 50,000 crore in Northeast India. The announcement was made by Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group. Speaking at the ‘Rising North East Summit’ held in New Delhi, he said that this investment would be in addition to the investment of Rs 50,000 crore in Assam. The group also announced investment in Assam three months ago. On this occasion, the chairman of the Adani Group also revealed areas in which will be invested in Northeast India. Adani said, “A new chapter of India’s development is being written in the mountains and valleys of the Northeast in the last decade. This story is full of diversity.” He credited this to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that Prime Minister Modi does not know any limit, he only knows how to start. He said that when Prime Minister Modi says – ‘Act East, Act Fast and Act First’, it is a warning for Northeast India.
Prime Minister Modi said this about his policy
He said that since 2014, Prime Minister Modi has made 65 private visits. 6.2 lakh crore has been invested in Northeast India. Due to this, 16 thousand kilometers of roads have been built and 18 airports have been built. This is a proof of your great thinking and dedication. The road network in Northeast India has doubled. He said that this is a reflection of Prime Minister Modi’s vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’.
Adani Group will invest in in sector
Gautam Adani announced at the summit that his group would invest Rs 50,000 crore in Northeast India in the next 10 years. He said that just three months ago, he had announced an investment of Rs 50 thousand crore in Assam, this investment would be different from that. The Adani Group will invest in areas such as Green Energy, Smart Meter, Hydropower, Pump Storage, Power Transmission, Roads and Highways, Digital infrastructure, Capacity Building, Logistics Skills and Professional Training Centers etc. in Northeast India. Every initiative of the Adani Group in the Northeast will focus on local employment, local entrepreneurship and community development. He said that this step will be towards making India a developed India by 2047.
