New Delhi. Indian wrestling star Vinesh Phogat has been disqualified in the 50 kg freestyle wrestling category of Paris Olympics 2024. Vinesh Phogat had made it to the final and was scheduled to play her final match on 7 August. But, she has been eliminated from the competition due to 100 grams excess weight. Vinesh’s weight was found to be 100 grams more than 50 kg, due to which she was disqualified. With this disqualification, her chances of winning a silver medal have also ended, leaving the whole of India shocked and saddened.
