San Francisco, Aug 13 (IANS) | Tech giant Apple may unveil all four models of its upcoming ‘iPhone 13’ lineup with bigger battery, updated chipset and expanded mmWave 5G support in September. This information has been given in a new report. According to AppleInsider, research firm Trendforce has outlined its expectations for the device. Which is said to be back on a specific September release.
Driven by the new models, the research firm expects total iPhone shipments to grow by 30 percent year-on-year in the third quarter of 2021. The report also outlines some of the features that Trendforce expects on the new iPhone 13 model and they are largely in line with previous rumors and reports. Additionally, other reports suggest that the iPhone 13 may support a new 120Hz ProMotion display and additional professional camera features such as ProRes video recording.
A July report also indicated that the iPhone 13 Pro model will be swapping out Pacific Blue for a bronze-like Sunset Gold color. Recently, a survey showed that 43.7 percent of iPhone users said they plan to switch to the iPhone 13, which is up 2.7 percent compared to their intention to purchase an iPhone 12 from a survey last year. While 56.3 percent revealed that they are not interested in the upcoming iPhone range.
The report mentions that the high refresh rate display, under-display Touch ID, always-on display and smaller notch plus notch-less design make up 22 percent, 18.2 percent, 10.9 percent, respectively, of the most excitingly rumored features list of the iPhone 13. percent, tops at 16 percent. Apple usually unveils new iPhone models in September. In 2020, largely due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it launched the iPhone 12 lineup in October.
