After the end of the match, Sanju Samson was fined Rs 12 lakh by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the mistake of slow over rate. This is the first mistake of Rajasthan Royals team this season due to slow over rate and due to this only Sanju Samson has to face this fine. Apart from Sanju, other players of the team will also be fined for the second mistake. Whereas if the mistake is made for the third time, Sanju Samson may also have to face a ban.

Due to rain, the start of this match was delayed by about half an hour. Rajasthan Royals got a chance to bat first, after which they lost both the opening batsmen till the score of 42. From here, a partnership of more than 100 runs was seen between captain Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag for the third wicket. In this match, Sanju played an unbeaten inning of 68 runs in 38 balls which included 7 fours and 2 sixes. On the basis of his innings, Sanju has now reached the fourth position in the Orange Cap race, in which 246 runs have been seen from his bat so far this season.
