IPL 2025 Auction: If you do this then you will be banned for two years!
IPL 2025 Mega Auction Updates: The buzz about IPL 2025 has intensified. Discussions are going on continuously on this. BCCI had called a meeting of all IPL team owners keeping in mind the next season, what happened in it, things are now coming out bit by bit. Meanwhile, a big issue was the availability of foreign players, which almost all the IPL teams seemed to be worried about. Some teams even talked about banning them under one condition. This matter can get even hotter in the coming time. That is, now foreign players will have to come in line to play IPL, otherwise it can be very costly.
Foreign players withdraw their names from IPL at the last moment
It is often seen that foreign players give their names in the IPL auction. They are also bought by the teams, but when the time comes for the season to start, they withdraw their names by making some excuse or the other. This has a very bad effect on the strategy of the teams. This matter seems to be heating up now. During the meeting between BCCI and IPL team owners, some teams have told BCCI that the availability of foreign players should be ensured. Not only this, the teams also say that if any foreign player refuses to come to IPL at the last moment and does not give any solid reason for this, then he should be banned from IPL for at least two years. Almost every year such drama is seen from foreign players.
Players also play in mega and mini auction
Not only this, foreign players play another game in the auction, which has been revealed. This happens in mega and mini auctions. It is often seen that foreign players do not make themselves available in the mega auction, but when the mini auction takes place the next year, they come forward. Actually, what happens is that the number of big players is more in the mega auction, so teams buy many players, while only a few players come in the mini auction, because the rest of the players are already retained. That is, there is a possibility of getting more money in the mini auction, while there is less in the mega auction, so foreign players play this game. This has been seen many times before as well.
The number of players in the squad is limited
According to the rules of IPL, their squads are limited. Any team can have a minimum of 18 and a maximum of 25 players in its squad. Suppose a team has included the minimum number of players i.e. 18 players in its squad. After this, when the season starts, if one or two players suddenly withdraw their names, then the team is in trouble. It is true that teams get the facility of replacement, but these are not like to like replacements. That is, they do not get another player of the same level as the player they have already bought. This also affects the performance of the teams. Now the meeting has been held and the top officials of BCCI have noted its points. Soon an announcement can be made by BCCI regarding the new rules and regulations. For this you will have to wait for a few days.
