The right-handed batsman scored 278 runs in six matches and finished the tournament as the leading run-scorer for Team India. He broke the league’s 16-year-old record in his first IPL innings itself. Angkrish Raghuvanshi is the youngest player in the history of IPL to score a half-century in the first innings of his career. Angkrish accomplished this feat at the age of 18 years, 303 days. Earlier this record was in the name of Shrivatsa Goswami. Shreevats Goswami scored a half-century in his first IPL innings in 2008 at the age of 19 years and 1 day.
