Beirut. Visiting Iran Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahiyan said that Iran is ready to cooperate with Lebanon in various fields. This information has come out from the report of the National News Agency. “The Islamic Republic of Iran is always ready to cooperate with the ally Lebanese Republic in various fields, especially the economy, trade and development,” Abdullahiyan said in Lebanon on Thursday.
“He had already informed Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati at a forum in Munich in February that Iran was ready to build two power plants in Lebanon, each of which will be built,” Xinhua news agency quoted the Iranian foreign minister as saying. The capacity is 1,000 MW and is also ready to cooperate in other development and economic sectors.”
Abdullahiyan arrived in Lebanon on Thursday for an official visit. During his stay, the Iranian diplomat is scheduled to meet with Lebanese House Speaker Nabih Beri, Prime Minister Mikati and Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib to discuss regional and international developments.
