New Delhi. A day before 15th August, Pakistan has started boasting. The reason for this is that Pakistan has secretly bought Supercam S250 drones from a Russian company, India’s most trusted friend. Since this news came out, many kinds of things have started happening in India. India’s defense experts have now made a big revelation about this deal. Defense experts say that nothing is going to go wrong for India due to this deal. Yes, Pakistan can definitely boast a little.
Actually, Russia has given a consignment of Supercam drones to Pakistan. It is also coming out in media reports that with the help of this drone, Pakistan has started smuggling in the India border area. In some reports it is being said that Pakistan will spy on India with this drone. But, according to defense experts, this is not going to harm India in any way.

Former Major General of India Harsh Kakkar, who has also been the head of the Department of Strategic Studies at the College of Defense Management, while talking to AnyTV Hindi, says, ‘As far as the threat from this deal is concerned, there is no truth in it. Be it us, Pakistan or China, everyone keeps an eye on each other through satellites. Every country uses drones. Every country uses electronic surveillance. For example, a few years ago, China had made a movement in the Indian border in Arunachal Pradesh, it was captured by the US satellite, not our satellite. So China’s satellite is helping Pakistan in such monitoring.’

Will India’s interests be harmed?
‘We have our own satellite and the US satellite is also helping us. Now we have different types of drones, aircrafts, which fly and take photographs. We have everything. If Pakistan has got a new one or gets one soon, it is not going to make much difference. It is possible that the gaps that exist will be filled. The scenario will not change much.’
On the question of Pakistan spying, Harsh Kakkar says, ‘How will Pakistan spy on us? We have drones, electronic equipment, everything, with which we monitor. Pakistan also has the same system to monitor. I have so much that they cannot even think. You will not find gaps, how will you spy? They will not come close enough to the border that we will be able to shoot down.’
Will Russia go against India’s interests?
Kakkar further says, ‘As far as this Russian company is concerned, many companies of our country are also selling drones, guns and weapons to many countries. Any company will do this. If the company does not sell abroad, how will the company run? It will not make any difference. Yes, it will make a difference that you have a new equipment. These are not arms drones. These are drones for surveillance. We are using drones in operations these days. How much input will you get from drones in the forest area? They still have drones from Turkey and China. India is not going to suffer any loss due to this.’

Russia cannot take any such step with India, which will affect India’s interests.
On friendship with Russia and selling drones behind the scenes, another Indian defense expert Qamar Agha says, Russia fully protects India’s interests. Our Prime Minister Modi also has good relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. As far as why Russia has sold this drone is not known. But, I can definitely say that Russia cannot take any such step with India, which affects India’s interests. Russia does not sell such weapons to Pakistan, which pose a risk of harm to India. This is what has been going on till now.
Russia’s friendship with India is unbreakable
Overall, the reason behind selling Supercam drones to Pakistan seems to be the financial condition or profit of a company. Drone manufacturing company Unmanned Systems Group has sold Supercam S250 drones not only to Pakistan but also to Nigeria, Angola, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. In these countries too, it is being used in command, staff training, surveillance in border areas and military activities.
