Riya Pandey/Delhi: Vitamin D is considered very important for the strength of the bones of our body. That is why we are told since childhood to take Vitamin D from sunlight, but in the month of May it is so hot that many people are not able to sit in the sun’s rays at the right time and their body is deprived of Vitamin D. Vitamin-D deficiency is increasing, so today let us know from a doctor from Delhi what else we should include in our diet apart from sunlight, so that we can fulfill our vitamin-D deficiency.
Let us tell you that Dr. Tina Kaushik, working in Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi, has studied MBBS. Presently Tina has been working here on the post of Junior Resident for 6 months. He told the team of Local18 that we all should take sunlight from 7:30 to 8 in the morning during summer days, but along with this we should also pay attention to our eating habits.
1. Doctor Tina told that apples should be consumed more during summer. Because eating it fulfills the deficiency of Vitamin-D as well as Vitamin-A and C in your body. Along with this, eating apple also strengthens the bones of the body.
2. He said that you can also include milk and curd in your diet list in summer because eating curd in summer also helps in keeping our stomach cool. Also milk and curd helps in keeping our bones strong. Its consumption compensates for the deficiency of Vitamin D.
3. During summer, you can also consume pine apple i.e. pineapple. Because the nutrients like potassium and calcium found in it work to strengthen the bones. Therefore, pine apple must be consumed regularly in summer.
4. The doctor said that you can also consume strawberries during summer. Which can prove to be very beneficial for our body. Because nutrients like Vitamin-D, calcium and potassium are found in good quantity in it. Which helps in strengthening the bones.
