Most of the users in India use recharge plans with daily data, in which users are offered up to 3GB of data daily. Airtel, Jio, Vi and BSNL offer many daily recharge plans to their users. Many Android users complain that their mobile data runs out quickly, even though they neither watch many videos nor spend much time on the smartphone. In such a situation, whenever there is a need, their daily high speed data limit gets exhausted.
Data Saver Mode will save data
In Android smartphones, you have to make a small setting for this, after which your daily data limit will not end soon. We are going to tell you about ‘Data Saver Mode’ given in Android smartphones. This is an in-built feature found in Google’s Android operating system, which limits the data used by background apps when the smartphone is not connected to Wi-Fi. After Data Saver is turned on, apps running in the background do not get access to the Internet.
This feature not only protects your mobile data from getting exhausted quickly, but can also protect your smartphone from cyber attacks. After data saver is turned on, the phone’s apps do not get access to the internet, due to which the smartphone apps are not able to send push alerts. Not only this, the battery consumption of the phone also reduces in this mode. In such a situation, if you want to save the daily data of your phone as well as avoid battery discharge, then you can turn on this mode.
Turn on Data Saver Mode like this
- To turn on this mode, you first have to go to the settings of your Android smartphone.
- After this you have to tap on ‘Use Data Saver’ and turn it on.
- To exit data saver mode, you will have to repeat the above steps once again and turn off the data saver toggle.
Another amazing feature is available in Data Saver Mode, using which you can give internet access to your regularly used apps. For this you will have to go to the data saver menu and tap on Unrestricted data. After this, you can turn on the data of those apps for which you want to provide internet access even in data saver mode. There are some apps in the phone which cannot be used without data.
