Tel Aviv. A missile fired from Yemen collapsed on Sunday morning near Israel’s busiest Ben Gurian Airport, causing chaos in the area. The missile attack has been taken responsibility by the Huti rebels of Yemen. After this attack, Israel’s Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has issued a strict statement, warning the Huti rebels of further retaliation in the future. In the video message released on social media, Netanyahu said, “We have also attacked earlier and can attack in future also.” He also made it clear that Israel would not compromise on its safety.
According to Israeli media, four people were injured in the missile blast, while two others were injured when they were trying to run to the shelter. Security agencies have started taking additional vigilance in the airport and its surrounding areas.
“Israeli Airport is no longer safe for air travel.” After this statement, tension has increased in the entire region.
Although the airport has been restarted within a few hours, the missile attack caused several flights to be canceled and some flights were delayed. Keeping in mind the safety of the passengers, the airport administration has further tightened the security standards.
This incident is being seen as another serious sign of the conflict already running in the Middle East. Israel is already facing tension on the border of Gaza and Lebanon, and now the threats coming from Yemen are becoming a new challenge for its safety.
Analysts believe that if such attacks from Huti rebels increase, Israel can increase the scope of military action to Yemen. This may further increase the possibility of war in the entire region.
Currently, the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) and security agencies are investigating the attack and the airport security system is being re -tested.
