Chennai. The Central Government on Wednesday informed Parliament that Indian space agency ISRO was allocated Rs 17,631.27 crore for satellite and rocket launch, out of which it spent Rs 6,853.37 crore till February.
Responding to the question of Congress MP TN Prathapan, Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Jitendra Singh gave full details about which project was allocated to ISRO and how much amount was spent by it.
He said ISRO has been approved for 30 Polar Satellite Launch Vehicles (PSLVs) worth Rs 6,131 crore, out of which Rs 1,092.32 crore has been spent till February 2022.
ISRO was allocated Rs 169.06 crore for three Small Satellite Launch Vehicles (SSLV), out of which Rs 145.82 crore was spent.
The space agency was allocated Rs 4,338.20 crore for 10 GSLV Mk3 rockets, out of which Rs 730.12 crore was spent.
Rs 797.12 crore was allocated for two Oceansat-3 and 3A, out of which Rs 471.98 crore was spent.
Out of Rs 964.68 crore, Rs 403.02 crore was spent for five navigation satellites IRNSS 1J-1N.
Out of Rs 865.75 crore allocated for three GSAT 22/23/24, Rs 483.88 crore was spent.
Jitendra Singh told the House that ISRO will launch a Navigation Satellite, an Earth Observation Satellite and a Communication Satellite this year.
