Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy is planning to replace his entire council of ministers. He can dissolve the council of ministers and induct new ministers before the 2024 assembly elections. This can be discussed in the state cabinet meeting today. After this all the ministers can be asked to resign. Then Jagan Mohan Reddy will form the cabinet afresh. Official sources say that by the end of this week, the minister of Andhra Pradesh government can resign from the post. Sources say that the list of ministers who have resigned will be sent to the governor. The current ministers are in the mood to retain only 4 to 5 leaders of the council, Jagan Mohan Reddy.
It is being said that all 26 districts will be represented in Jagan Mohan Reddy’s new council of ministers. Recently, 13 new districts have been formed in the state, before that the number of districts in the state was only 13. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday evening called on Governor B. Harichandan and told him that he was planning to reshuffle his entire cabinet. The Chief Minister can now meet the Governor once again on Friday and submit to him the list of ministers whose resignations are to be taken. It is being said that the resignations of ministers can be taken on April 9 or 11.
Jagan Mohan Reddy had announced during his coming to power in 2019 that he would make mid-term changes in his cabinet. He believes that this change will help in tackling anti-incumbency. Apart from this, the strategy for 2024 can also be prepared. Jagan Mohan Reddy has created new districts only under the politics of regional balance in the state. While creating new districts, Reddy had said that people have preferred the policy of decentralisation. Our government is taking all the schemes to the homes of the people.
