Jaydeep Bihani, chairman and MLA of the Adhoc Committee of Rajasthan Cricket Association, has strongly objected to the ongoing IPL events in Jaipur. He alleged that by taking the IPL organization towards privatization, the Sports Council President is not only isolating the RCA from this process, but also conspiring to destabilize the RCA ad hoc committee appointed by the state government.
Bihani said that the state government has formed the RCA Adhoc Committee for the development and transparency of sports, which is successfully organizing BCCI national competitions in various age groups for male and female players. He said that RCA has always successfully organized ICC and BCCI international matches, but is now being deliberately excluded from the event.
He alleged that the Sports Council has kept the RCA Ed Hawk Committee away from the planning process and has not even given them recognition cards, while a card has been arbitrarily given to the secretary of the district organization. It is a symbol of RCA’s opposition and conspiracy.
Bihani also said that earlier RCA used to organize IPL matches in Jaipur and provide passes to CMOs, cabinet, officers, former players and district associations. Now bypassing RCA, free passes are being given to private persons and favorite district organizations.
He alleged that the Sports Council President is sometimes creating new committees to destabilize the RCA, and sometimes reducing the role of ad hoc committee by saying that it is limited to holding elections only. If this was the case, why did the government extend the tenure of this committee five times? The RCA ad hoc committee prepared an audit report of 368 pages on financial irregularities made by former RCA officials and filed an FIR. He questioned that if the Sports Council was so vigilant, then why no action has been taken on that FIR till now?
Bihani said that RCA pitch curator Taposh Chatterjee and Ground Staff are working day and night for the maintenance of the stadium with their high level equipment, but RCA has not been paid for their equipment and employees. He alleged that this insistence of Rajasthan Royals and Sports Council is part of a well -planned strategy to weaken RCA.
