New Delhi . External Affairs Minister S. Syed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister S.C. Jaishankar held a bilateral meeting on Thursday. Iran’s Foreign Minister Saeed Abbas Araghchi’s visit to India is aimed at strengthening strategic relations. High level talks between the two countries are taking place at a time when the two countries are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the India-Iran Friendship Treaty.
This is Araghchi’s first official visit to India since assuming office in August 2024.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, the Joint Commission meeting held on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Indo-Iran Friendship Treaty will review the further route to strengthen issues and bilateral relations between the two countries.
