Udaipur. Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader, social worker and former assembly candidate Dalpat Surana died on Sunday after prolonged illness. He was running unwell for the last several months and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital, where he breathed his last. His death spread wave of mourning not only in the Bharatiya Janata Party, but also in the political, social and civil life of the entire Udaipur district.
Dalpat Surana was a personality in politics who kept the service and theory paramount throughout his life. His dedication to the party, his dedicated hard work for the organization and his thinking for the society made him a unique man. He was not only a politician, but an idea – such an ideology, in which no power, service was prominent; In which the duty was not important, not the post.
His last journey started from his residence 33-B Ambamata (in front of IG bungalow) at 9:30 am on Sunday. Earlier, BJP workers paid the final honor by covering the party’s flag. This moment was extremely emotional-the gratitude of the party towards the karmayogi, which made the organization aim of its life. In the last journey, the public gathered. Hundreds of workers, supporters, social workers and public representatives arrived for their last darshan. The yatra reached Mokshadham on Rani Road, where he was cremated methodically.
BJP workers and citizens said on the occasion that the departure of Dalpat Surana is not only one person, one value, one tradition and a farewell to an inspiration. The path he showed, he will continue to inspire the coming generations to walk in the direction of truth, service and organization.
Dalpat Surana continued to strengthen the BJP organization from his youth. He remained active in the party like a grassroots worker and then fought the organizational responsibilities till the assembly elections. He always gave priority to the public and considered politics as a medium of public service. Under his leadership, the organization also received ideological depth, not only political benefits. He was one of the leaders who considered the ideology above the party and had a sense of discipline, sacrifice and dedication in every task.
Surana’s image was very respected even in social life. He was always active in activities related to education, health and public welfare. His ability to connect a person of every class with spontaneous affinity made him dear to the public. He, along with several social organizations, did several works related to development, medical and youth empowerment in rural areas, which are still alive in people’s memories.
Many prominent BJP leaders and social workers were present in his last visit. Congress district president Fateh Singh Rathore, former district president Gopal Sharma and other leaders appreciated his social service and cordial politics. This was a rare scene when party boundaries were seen to be broken and every class bid farewell to Surana with reverence.
Every eye was moist, every heart was praying for him. Dalpat Surana may not be among us now, but his principle, his dedication, his karma and his thoughtfulness will always survive among us. He was a representative of the generation in politics who worked for service, not power.
His life is an inspiration for those who consider politics not only to win elections or get a position, but a mission spirit of public welfare. Surana taught that a worker, if he works with allegiance, he can become the backbone of the organization.
Their memories will not only be limited to the organization, but in every corner of the society, in the memory of every person who ever met him, they will remain as a symbol of simplicity, warmth and alertness.
Humble tribute to Dalpat Surana.
