New Delhi. Magistrate Court today granted conditional bail to Karnataka JDS leader Sooraj Revanna. Sooraj was accused of unnatural sexual abuse by a 27-year-old worker of his own party JDS. Due to this allegation, Sooraj Revanna was arrested on 23 June. Sooraj Revanna is the elder son of Karnataka JDS party MLA HD Revanna. A doctor by profession, Sooraj is also a member of the Legislative Council from the JDS party. Sooraj’s younger brother Prajwal Revanna is currently in judicial custody in the case of sexual harassment of several women. Karnataka Police had also arrested JDS MLA HD Revanna on charges of kidnapping a victim in the same case. However, later he too was granted bail.
Prajwal Revanna was an MP from Karnataka’s Hassan Lok Sabha seat and was once again given a ticket in the recently held Lok Sabha elections. But before the elections, many of his sex videos went viral. After this, Prajwal Revanna left India and fled to Germany. After being surrounded by serious allegations of sexual harassment, JDS expelled him from the party. His grandfather and former Prime Minister HD Devegowda released a video and warned Prajwal not to test his patience and come back and surrender wherever he is. After this, Prajwal had said in his defense that all these allegations are political and he also told the date of his arrival in India. Due to these serious allegations against Prajwal, his prestigious family had to face great infamy across the country. His uncle and former Chief Minister of Karnataka HD Kumaraswamy had also said that we are not trying to save Prajwal, if Prajwal is guilty then he should get the harshest punishment.
