Bengaluru. The Janata Dal (Secular) i.e. JDS has started a big protest against the Congress government of the state over rising inflation and alleged corruption in Karnataka.
The demonstration under the name ‘Vidhan Saudha Chalo’ will start from Freedom Park in Bengaluru at 11 am on April 12. The JDS has alleged that inflation in the state has become uncontrollable since the Congress government came to power and the general public is facing financial crisis.
Giving information about this protest, Nikhil Kumaraswamy, President of JDS Youth, said, “During the Congress government’s rule, inflation has made people difficult to live in the entire Karnataka. Whether it is metro fare, milk prices, stamp duty or cost of other essential services, every field is being seen in every field. Question the government and hold it accountable. “
Nikhil also cited the statement of the Chief Minister’s Economic Advisor Basavraj Raireddy in which he had accepted the corruption in the state. Nikhil said, Raireddy himself had said that the Congress had promised five guarantee before the election, but till now those promises have not been fulfilled. These incomplete promises are proof of the failure of the government. An economic advisor is to say that there is corruption in the state, it is a matter of serious concern. I appreciate his honesty, but it is also clear that if this situation prevails, Karnataka will soon move towards a big financial crisis. “
He further said that this protest is not only of JDS workers or leaders, but the voice of every Kannada citizen’s heart. He said, “Our campaign is inspired by the feelings of the people. The policies of the state government have disturbed the general public and we will not tolerate it.”
On the coordination between JDS and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Nikhil said that the goal of both parties is the same. There is no differences between JDS and BJP. We are fighting against the Congress government as a regional party. Our agenda is clear to protect the interests of the state. Our coordination is already strong, it needs to be strengthened further, we are working in this direction.
