JDU splits over Waqf Bill, MLC Ghulam Gaus says 'Nitish Kumar is not in this matter...'

Patna. The central government has brought the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha. While the NDA constituents are openly supporting it, the All India Alliance parties are opposing it. The bill will be sent to the JPC. JDU expressed support for the Waqf Bill in the Lok Sabha, but now a rift is being seen within the party itself. On one hand, Lallan Singh has described the amendments being made through the bill as necessary and beneficial, while JDU MLC Ghulam Gaus has strongly opposed it.

JDU MLC Ghulam Gaus has strongly protested against the amendment bill being brought on Waqf and said that the BJP government has always worked against Muslims. This bill is an attempt to snatch the land of Waqf. Many programs are run for the welfare of Muslims from the land that Waqf has. Today, many residential schools have been built on Waqf land in Bihar, where students study. The central government first stopped the scholarship of Maulana Azad Foundation, then cut the budget for minorities. For Muslims, the central government first made rules like triple talaq, ghar wapsi. Reforms are not needed only among Muslims. The center has its vulture eyes on 7 lakh acres of Waqf land across the country.

Demand for intervention from Nitish Kumar
JDU MLC Gaus, while opposing the bill, has demanded intervention of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in this matter. Gaus said that Nitish Kumar has done many big works for Muslims in Bihar. I hope Nitish Kumar will listen in this matter.

Lalan Singh openly supported the Waqf Bill in the Lok Sabha
On one hand, while opposition to the bill has started within JDU, Lok Sabha MP Lallan Singh has openly supported the bill. Lallan Singh expressed his support in the Lok Sabha and gave his arguments. Singh said that here the example of temple and gurudwara is being given. Temples and gurudwaras are religious places but the Waqf Board is an institution. It is not a religious place. Even if the government does not interfere in religion, but if there is corruption in any institution, then why can’t the government interfere. Singh also raised questions on the Congress and said that if we talk about minorities, then in whose era did the killings of Sikhs take place?

Nitish Kumar can hold a meeting
According to the information, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar can hold a meeting with Muslim leaders to discuss a consensus on this issue. It is believed that other Muslim leaders of JDU including Minister Jama Khan will attend this meeting.
