Ranchi. Social media platform ‘X’ has banned the account of Jharkhand Congress. It is being told that action has been taken on the complaint of uploading and sharing edited fake video of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s speech through this handle. On this handle, it has been written by X, ‘The account has been banned in response to a legal demand.’
In this case, Delhi Police has summoned Jharkhand Pradesh Congress President Rajesh Thakur. In the summons sent under section 160/91 of CrPC, he has been asked to appear before the investigating officer of Delhi Police at 10.30 am on May 2.
Rajesh Thakur has been asked to bring along his mobile, laptop, tablet or any other electronic device, which may have been allegedly used to share the fake video on ‘X’.
BJP workers have also lodged an FIR against two people in Argora police station of Ranchi for sharing fake video of the Union Home Minister. Those who have been nominated include Shailendra Hazra and Rupesh Rajak. This FIR has been registered on the application of BJP Janata Yuva Morcha state office minister Sanjay Kumar Mahato.
BJP workers have provided a copy of the video to the police through a pen drive. According to BJP workers, on issues like reservation, Amit Shah never said that it would be abolished. The fake video is not only a personal defamation of Amit Shah but it is also an attempt to present wrong facts before the country.
