Washington: The President of America has given a big statement. President Joe Biden has called Japan and India ‘xenophobic’ countries that do not welcome immigrants. Biden has said that the two partners of ‘Quad’ India and Japan and the two rivals of America Russia and China are xenophobic. He said that none of these countries welcomes immigrants like America. Biden seems to be under attack for this statement.
‘We welcome immigrants’
Addressing supporters at an event organized on Wednesday evening to collect funds for the election, Biden said, “This election is about freedom, America and democracy.” That’s why I desperately need you. You know, one of the reasons our economy is growing is because of you and so many others. Why? Because we welcome immigrants.”
‘They don’t want immigrants’
Biden, the Democratic Party’s potential presidential candidate, said, “Think about it.” Why is China stagnating so badly economically? Why is Japan in trouble? Why is Russia like this? Why is India like this? Because they hate foreigners. They don’t want immigrants.” The President said, ”Immigrants are what make us stronger. No joke. “That’s not an exaggeration, because we have an abundance of people who want to be here and want to contribute.”
meaning of statement
India and Japan are members of ‘Quad’. America and Australia are also included in this four-member strategic group. Now in such a situation, this statement of Biden is also being linked to the elections. Biden is trying to win over immigrants in his favor by making such statements. A large number of natives of other countries live in America. These people are holding influential positions and can play a big role in the elections. (Language)
