New Delhi | The Indian Army has carried out a decisive military action against cross -border terrorism under “Operation Sindoor”. A total of 9 terror launch pads were targeted in this action, which confirmed the killing of 100 terrorists. The army gave this information during a joint press conference, in which the top officials of the Army, Navy and Air Force participated. In this press conference, Director General Military Operations (DGMO) Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, Vice Admiral A.N. Pramod, and Director General of Air Operations Air Marshal Awadhesh Kumar Bharti attended. The three officials shared the major information related to the operation, stating that the operation was completely against terrorism and its goals were very clear.
“Terror bases were destroyed” – Lieutenant General Ghile. Addressing the press, General Ghai said, “You all know that 26 innocent people were brutally murdered in the recent Pahalgam attack. The attack was not only an attack on humanity, but also an attempt to challenge our national security. Operation vermilion was aimed at terminating such terrorists and their support system.”
He said that with the help of Indian intelligence agencies and technical surveillance, terrorist bases located across the border were identified and all were accurately targeted. According to him,
“Action was taken on 9 locations, most of which had already been evacuated, as they were afraid of Indian response. Yet more than 100 terrorists have been confirmed to be killed.”
Take. General Ghai also revealed that three major terrorists involved in the Kandahar aircraft kidnapping (1999) and Pulwama attack (2019) have also been killed in this operation. He refused to reveal the identity of these terrorists, saying that “sharing more details is not appropriate for national security.”
“The Air Force carried out the most goals” – Air Marshal Bharativa Sena Director General of Air Operations Air Marshal Awadhesh Kumar Bharti said that “We had no way but to take action after a cruel attack like Pahalgam. We would choose the targets very carefully, so that the damage only reached the terrorist structure.”
He informed that “6 out of 9 targets came to the Air Force part. These included terrorist camps in areas like Bahawalpur and Muridac. For targeting, advanced satellite imagery, drone surveillance and on-gold intelligence were resorted to.”
“Operation vermilion – not a war, the requirement of security”
Officials said in unison that it was not a war, but India’s self -protective move against terror. Vice Admiral AN Pramod said that
“India took restraint, but when the terrorists attacked innocent civilians, action became necessary. This operation was an accurate, limited and effective retaliation.”
“Evidence also brought”
Take. General Ghai told the press that only terrorist bases were targeted in this operation, and evidence of action has also been collected. He said, “We not only destroyed the targets, but have also brought back many digital and physical evidence from their bases. Their forensic investigation is on.”
