New Delhi/Chandigarh. The BJP is continuing to brainstorm on the names of candidates for the Haryana assembly elections. On Monday, the party’s national president JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting with party leaders and discussed the names of the candidates in detail. After the conclusion of the launch program of the party’s national membership campaign, many other important leaders including Haryana’s state election in-charge and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Haryana’s state election co-in-charge and former Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb, Haryana state president Mohan Lal Badauli, Union Minister and former Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar, Union Minister and MP from Haryana Rao Indrajit Singh, Satish Punia and Surendra Nagar were present in the meeting held in the central office expansion.
Let us tell you that, in the meeting of the party’s Central Election Committee held on August 29 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and under the chairmanship of BJP National President JP Nadda, the names of more than 50 candidates from Haryana were approved. But now it is being told that due to the rapidly changing political conditions in Haryana and the continuous joining in the party, the party has to reconsider many of these seats.
This meeting on Monday is considered very important in terms of the first list of the party’s candidates. However, the picture is not yet clear as to when the BJP will release its first list of candidates. Let us tell you that voting is to be held in Haryana on October 5 and the last date for nomination to contest elections in the state is September 12. Along with Haryana, counting of votes will be held on October 8 in Jammu and Kashmir.
