Doctors are demanding justice and are also pressurizing the government regarding the safety of doctors. On the other hand, the High Court on Friday reprimanded the state government for the vandalism in RG Kar Medical College. Along with this, a warning has also been given against posting the photo of the victim on social media. Meanwhile, former principal of RG Kar, Sandeep Ghosh has knocked the door of the High Court. On Friday, the CBI team interrogated Sandeep Ghosh in Kolkata CGO Complex.
In the petition filed in the High Court, Sandeep Ghosh has said that he should be given police protection. High Court Justice Rajarshi Bhardwaj did not give any order on Sandeep Ghosh’s petition on Friday. It is being told that the hearing is likely to take place on Monday. Sandeep Ghosh had filed a petition in the High Court and requested for an early hearing.
Sandeep Ghosh’s lawyer in the High Court told that on the night of 14-15 August, hundreds of people surrounded the house. They tried to set the house on fire. The Chief Justice asked Dr. Sandeep Ghosh to go to the CBI office. If you are afraid to leave the house, the police will provide security. However, after being removed from RG Kar, Sandeep Ghosh was made the principal of Chittaranjan National Medical, which angered the students there. The High Court, while hearing the case, had asked Sandeep Ghosh to go on a long leave.
