Paris Olympics 2024 Medal Tally: Paris Olympics 2024 has concluded with a colourful program. Pakistan won one gold medal
In the current Olympics, India has won a total of 6 medals, which include one silver and five bronze medals. On the other hand, India’s neighbor Pakistan has won only one gold medal. But it has overtaken India in the medal tally. Because the one who wins the gold medal is placed higher in the medal tally. India is at the 71st position in the medal tally of Paris Olympics 2024, while Pakistan is at the 62nd position.
Even in 1992, Pakistan was ahead of India in the medal tally
Earlier, in Barcelona Olympics 1992, Pakistan was ahead of India in the medal tally. Then the Pakistani hockey team won the bronze medal. Due to this, it was jointly ranked 54th in the medal tally. This was Pakistan’s only medal in that Olympics. At the same time, no athlete could win a medal for India. Now in Paris Olympics also, Pakistan has gone ahead of India in the medal tally. That means after 32 years, Pakistan has got a chance to go ahead of India in the medal tally.
Arshad Nadeem won gold medal in javelin
Arshad Nadeem has won the gold medal in javelin throw for Pakistan in Paris Olympics 2024. He is the only athlete to win gold in an individual event for Pakistan in Olympic history. No one had been able to do this before him. India’s Neeraj Chopra has won the silver medal in javelin throw. Earlier, Neeraj had won gold in the Tokyo Olympics. He was a strong contender to win the gold medal, but he could not surpass Arshad’s throw in the final round.
