According to the police FIR, the Najafgarh police station of Delhi received a PCR call on 5 March stating that the son of Najafgarh, Satish Kumar’s son had a bike accident and has suffered serious head injuries, and he is undergoing treatment in a nearby hospital. However, the complainant and his son left the police station without filing a written complaint i.e. Medico Legal Case (MLC) report.
The official said that when the police spoke to Satish again on March 11, he said that Gagan died on March 6 and without informing the police, he was cremated in Garhganga, Hapur. He filed a complaint on March 12, demanding action against the investigating officer (IO) for alleged negligence in registering a fatal accident case. However, when the police suspected the police, the police started a fresh investigation. The DCP said that we investigated the CCTV footage from the accident site, in which the Gagan and another person appeared pretending to be the accident, after which the police called Satish Kumar for questioning, he confessed the truth that he and the lawyer Manmohan had pretended to death in Gagan’s involvement.

Satish’s plan was to claim an insurance of Rs 2 crore in the name of Gagan on 13 February. When the police investigated further, it was found that Gagan had no cremation in Hapur. After this, the police arrested Satish, advocate Manmohan and Doctor and on March 25, filed an FIR under sections related to fraud and conspiracy.
