In such a situation, if Congress makes Kanhaiya Kumar the candidate on this seat, then he will have a direct contest with Manoj Tiwari. In the Lok Sabha elections 2019, Kanhaiya Kumar contested from Begusarai in Bihar on Left ticket. During that time, BJP had fielded Union Minister Giriraj Singh from this seat. In such a situation, Kanhaiya Kumar had to face defeat in Begusarai. Kanhaiya Kumar left the Left and joined Congress in September 2021.
