Tension prevails in Karauli district of Rajasthan. Curfew and internet will remain closed till April 10. The administration gave a relaxation of up to 2 hours in the curfew on Thursday. Markets opened and people bought essential things. Karauli District Collector said that further decision would be taken after the atmosphere and feedback. On Thursday also, the police are trying to nab other accused including Matloob Ahmed, accused of stone pelting incident and BJP leader Rajaram Gurjar. Curfew continued for the sixth day on Thursday following the orders of the district administration following the violence on Navasamvatsar in Karauli on April 2.

IG Bharatpur Range, Prasanna Kumar Khamesra said that after stone pelting took place during the procession in Futa Kot area Main Bazaar Karauli on Saturday, the police acted promptly and arrested 46 people and took 07 in police custody for questioning. 13 accused have been arrested in connection with the incident in the case registered at Police Station Karauli and 33 people have been arrested for violating curfew order. 07 people have been taken into police custody for questioning. A total of 21 two wheelers and four wheelers were also seized by the police during this period.
Heavy police seizure at Karauli district headquarters
