According to Ghaziabad Crime Branch, the accused Pramendra is retired from the post of Naib Subedar in the Army. During his service, he came in contact with 3-4 agents from Jammu and Kashmir to get the arms license of the army personnel. Pramendra also had to get arms license made. Agents were Amit Mutreja alias Aniket Awasthi alias Anirudh Shastri, resident of Jaipur Rajasthan and Krishna Kumar Soni. Amit Mutreja had got the arms license of Kishtwar Pramendra of Jammu and Kashmir made for Rs 15 thousand. He said that if you know anyone who does not serve in the army, I will still get his arms license done, but it will cost more and Pramendra will also get commission in it.
Pramendra, after contacting some of his acquaintances in Ghaziabad and Noida, along with Amit Mutreja, had got fake arms licenses made and Pramendra had kept the photocopies of the documents of some people with him. He used to charge Rs 80 thousand for getting a pistol license and Rs 90 thousand for a rifle license. To get the weapon, Pramendra himself used to wear army uniform and go to the gun house with the license and get the weapon. Due to Pramendra being in uniform, even the gun house people did not doubt Pramendra. To get the arms license renewed, Pramendra used to take Rs 5,000 each from the arms license holders and return it fraudulently by stamping it himself. Meanwhile, Pramendra and Amit Mutreja had a fight over money transactions and a lawsuit was filed against them. In which the police used to go to Pramendra’s house to arrest him, hence out of fear he destroyed all the arms licenses and hid the weapons. After that Pramendra went to jail. After coming out, Pramendra was afraid that the police might come to know about all this and raid his house, hence he was trying to get the license quickly and return it.
