Price and Variants
Kia Carens has been launched in 5 variants Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus. In which the price of the premium variant starts from Rs 8.99 lakh, and has been fixed up to Rs 16.99 lakh. Although this price is introductory, that is, the company can increase them later. On the other hand, talking about Ertiga, this car is available in 4 variants LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+, whose price has been fixed from Rs 8.12 lakh to Rs 10.85 lakh ex-showroom. Overall, there is no significant difference in the price of both the vehicles.

Kia is offering the Carens with three engine options. It will also get a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor, 1.4-litre turbo petrol unit and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Coming to the transmission options, the 1.5-litre petrol unit of the Carrence is mated to a six-speed manual unit, the 1.4-turbocharged petrol comes with either a seven-speed DCT or a six-speed manual and the diesel unit comes with either a six-speed manual. Equipped with -speed AT or 6 speed MT.

Maruti has equipped the Ertiga with a 1.5-litre petrol engine that comes mated to both a standard 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque converter. On the other hand, the CNG-petrol variant of this car uses the same 1.5-litre petrol engine but without the mild-hybrid technology, although the performance drops a bit, making 92PS of power and 122Nm of torque. Transmission options include MT and AT.

Talking about the features of Maruti Ertiga, it comes with 15-inch wheels, 7-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and CarPlay and push-button start/stop. The Ertiga also gets ventilated front cup holders, rear AC vents with auto climate control and a reverse parking camera. On the other hand, safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors and reverse parking sensors.
