Seoul. On Monday, ‘Victory Day’ was celebrated in Moscow city of Russia. On this occasion, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un sent a congratulatory message to President Vladimir Putin. Kim also praised his country’s “strong solidarity” with Russia, Pyongyang’s state media reported. In a message sent a day earlier, Kim congratulated Putin on the anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany in World War II, the North’s official newspaper Rodong Sinmun and the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported.
Russia on Monday celebrated the 77th anniversary of Victory Day.
The Yonhap news agency quoted KCNA as saying that Kim’s message is being linked to several cases. Including to root out the political and military threat to the Russian people and protect the country’s dignity, peace and security, etc.
It is believed from Kim’s message that the strategic and traditional ties between the two countries are getting stronger with the passage of time.
