IPL 2024 LSG KL Rahul: Lucknow Super Giants team captained by KL Rahul is playing its third season of IPL. When the team played its first season in the year 2022, it was successful in reaching the playoffs, the same happened in the year 2023 also. But this time the path seems somewhat difficult. LSG has suffered a big and embarrassing defeat against KKR. This has dealt a huge blow to its playoff hopes. Meanwhile, after the defeat in the match, KL Rahul’s pain came to the fore. He told where the team went wrong and how it can now reach the top 4.
Rahul said, the team did not perform well
After losing the match against Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul said that his team’s performance was not as per expectations. Rahul said after the match that we had a big target in front of us. The team performed very poorly with bat, ball and fielding. Our performance was not as per expectations. He said that the wicket was good, the pitch was not that bad. But the target was 20-30 runs more. Our batting was very bad. We should have implemented the strategy which we could not do.
Now LSG team will not play at home
The problem for LSG is that the team has played all the matches at its home, now it will have to play matches at the home of the opposing team. The team will now play three more matches in the league stage. Whereas LSG captain KL Rahul said that now his team will have to win the remaining three matches to go to the playoffs from here. Also we have to bat fearlessly.
Schedule of remaining matches of LSG
LSG team will now play its next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 8th May at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Hyderabad. On May 14, the team will be seen playing against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The team’s last match will be against Mumbai on 17th May at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. That means no match is light and easy. In such a situation, their hopes of going to the playoffs may get a setback. It remains to be seen how the team comes out of this.
