New Delhi. A division bench of Kolkata High Court Chief Justice Prakash Srivastava and Justice R Bhardwaj has ordered the demolition of the illegally constructed office of TMC at Jorasanko Thakur Bari. The court said that the heritage committee of the university will bring back the old form of Maharishi Bhavan. Explain that the High Court had asked the West Bengal government to ensure that the heritage located in the Jorasanko campus of Rabindra Bharati University is not tampered with.
Recently, a Public Interest Litigation was filed in the High Court in this context. In which it was alleged that some buildings of Thakur’s Maharishi were being tampered with and used as party offices, which is completely unethical. Let us tell you that it is told about Maharishi Bhavan that Ravindra Nath Tagore’s childhood was spent there. Where is now being used by TMC as party office, which is completely wrong.
However, now that the court has given the order to demolish it, in such a situation, what stand will this whole matter take in the coming days. Everyone’s eyes will be fixed on this. But before that you should know that currently at present, a part of Jorasanko is used as an educational institute. This is why sometimes the leaders used to conchshell their movement.
