Kolkata Doctor News: The parents who lost their daughter to the killers at midnight in Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College have raised questions on the methods of investigation of the police and CBI in the case of the murder of the lady doctor. The victim’s mother has made fresh allegations against the police and said that we had said that Sanjay Roy may not be the accused.
The mother said that at 10:53 am that day we got a call from the assistant superintendent of the hospital, saying that it was a suicide. After reaching the hospital, we could not see his body immediately. We were able to see him only at 3 pm. We were under a lot of pressure. Some people also tried to damage his car. When Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee came to our house, we told her that we suspected that Sanjoy Roy (the arrested accused) might be involved in this.
‘When the CBI team reached our house…’
A CBI team led by Joint V Chandrasekhar visited the house in Sodepur. The CBI team reached the house around 4.30 pm on Thursday and talked to the family there for more than an hour. Later in the evening, the victim’s father said that he had handed over all the evidence and documents in his possession to the CBI officer.
