New Delhi. Kolkata doctor rape and murder case accused Sanjay Rai will now undergo a polygraph test. CBI had sought permission from the court for this which it has got. Now it can be ascertained what truth and what lie the accused has told in his statement. It is expected that CBI can conduct a polygraph test of accused Sanjay Rai tomorrow itself.
What is a polygraphy test and how is it done?
Polygraphy test is done by a special type of machine under the supervision of experts. Experts connect some parts of the accused to the machine before the test. A belt is put on the chest of the accused which is called pneumograph tube and this belt is connected to the machine through which his heart beat is measured. At the same time, Lombroso gloves are tied on the fingers of the accused. Along with this, pulse cuffs are put on the hands, which measure blood pressure. After this, when the accused is asked questions by the experts, his heartbeat, blood pressure, breathing, finger movement and sweating are observed while answering. Along with this, experts also note the eye gestures of the accused. In this way, the truth and lies of the accused are detected. This is considered a very effective way of making the criminals reveal the truth.
Polygraphy test cannot be done without permission
Let us tell you that permission has to be taken from the court to conduct a polygraphy test. Without permission, polygraphy test of any criminal cannot be done, no matter how serious the case is. In many serious cases, the court allows polygraphy test to extract the truth from the criminals. Even before this, polygraphy test of many vicious criminals has been done in many cases.
