Kolkata. Senior Congress leader and former MP in West Bengal Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Thursday strongly attacked the Mamata government of the state. He made serious allegations against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and said that despite being a woman, she is afraid of women’s movements and her government is indifferent towards women’s safety. Accusing Mamata Banerjee’s government, the Congress leader said that the Chief Minister is trying to scare and threaten the victim’s family. Chowdhury alleged that at the behest of the Chief Minister, the Bengal Police can refuse to help the CBI, so that the truth of the case does not come out.
Accused of bribing the victim’s family
Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury made a shocking claim that an attempt was made to bribe the victim’s family with Rs 10 lakh so that they back off from demanding an investigation into the case.
