A large number of Indian people have died in the fire incident in a building located in Mangaf area of Kuwait. The Indian government is continuously trying to provide assistance to the victims of the incident. Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh has visited Kuwait after the order of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Efforts are being made to bring back the bodies of those killed in the incident soon. Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti company has now announced compensation for those killed in the incident.
Compensation of Rs 8 lakh
According to the information, Kuwait’s NTBC company management has announced a compensation of Rs 8 lakh to the families of those who lost their lives in the Mangaf area. Along with this, the company has assured to pay the insurance amount as soon as possible and also help in transporting the bodies of the deceased to their destination.
PM Modi held a review meeting
Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a review meeting on Wednesday after several Indians died in a fire in Kuwait and directed officials to provide all possible assistance. PM Modi has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of all the deceased. The Kerala government will also give a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased.
Aircraft ready to bring back the bodies
Kuwaiti authorities are conducting DNA tests on the bodies of more than 40 Indians killed in a massive fire in a building in Mangaf area. An Indian Air Force plane has been kept ready to bring back the bodies, officials said on Thursday. Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh has reached Kuwait to oversee relief to Indians injured in the fire and to ensure speedy repatriation of the bodies of those killed.
