Big relief to the son of former Union Minister Ajay Mishra

New Delhi: Big information has come to light in the 2021 Lakhimpur Kheri violence case of UP. The Supreme Court has granted bail to Ashish Mishra, son of former Union Minister Ajay Mishra. The Supreme Court has directed the trial court to expedite the hearing and fix a timetable in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case.

What is the whole matter?

On October 3, 2021, violence broke out in Tikunia in Lakhimpur Kheri district when farmers were protesting against the visit of Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya to the area. Eight people were killed in the violence. According to the FIR, four farmers were crushed by an SUV in which Ashish Mishra was sitting. Following the incident, the driver of the SUV and two BJP workers were beaten to death by angry farmers. A journalist was also killed in the violence.

Ashish Mishra was arrested on October 9, 2021 and released on February 15, 2022 following a High Court order. However, Ashish Mishra surrendered on April 24, 2022 after his bail was cancelled by the Supreme Court on April 18, 2022. Ashish Mishra had challenged the High Court order in the Supreme Court.
