New Delhi. Veteran BJP leader and former Deputy Prime Minister of the country Lal Krishna Advani’s health is better now and he has been discharged from Delhi AIIMS. Advani was admitted to AIIMS on Wednesday night due to urinary infection. Where he was treated by specialist doctors of the Urology department. Union Health Minister JP Nadda called AIIMS Director Dr. M. Srinivas and inquired about Advani’s health. He also spoke to Advani’s family members over the phone.

96-year-old Advani has now withdrawn from public life due to advancing age and health problems. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently met Advani at his home and took his blessings before taking oath for the third time. Due to health problems, President Draupadi Murmu visited Advani’s home and honoured him with the country’s highest award Bharat Ratna. During this time, many dignitaries including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President J.P. Nadda, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh were present. In the year 1980, LK Advani and Atal Bihari Vajpayee together formed the BJP.
As long as Advani was active, his name was counted not only among the top leaders of BJP but also among the top politicians of India. LK Advani was called the Iron Man of that time. LK Advani was a Member of Parliament 10 times in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha combined. In 1990, Advani breathed new life into the Ram Mandir movement in Ayodhya by taking out Ram Rath Yatra. After this, a case was also filed against him in the matter of demolition of Babri Masjid. In 2004, BJP contested the Lok Sabha elections under the leadership of Advani, however, the party remained away from the majority and Advani missed becoming the Prime Minister.
