New Delhi. Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh has said that I am surprised that when RJD and Lalu Yadav are not capable of anything, they are raising such issues. When he was in the lap of Congress, Lalu Yadav used to call himself a kingmaker; why did he not get the status of a special state then? There were policies at that time too, the same answer was given at that time as has come now. He said that Lalu Yadav is doing political drama now. Actually, during the budget session in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary, while answering on behalf of the Central Government, said that it is not possible to give the status of a special state to Bihar. The minister said that the provisions that have to be fulfilled for the status of a special state are not there in Bihar. Let us tell you, for the past several years, there has been a demand to give the status of a special state to Bihar.
Giriraj Singh said that Lalu was in power at one time and he could have done something for Bihar, but he did nothing then and is now making statements. He said that today when he is not worth anything, he is studying English. He said that today Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister of the country and he said with confidence that without the development of Bihar, there will be no development of Purvanchal. In 2015, a package of 1.25 lakh crores was announced for Bihar and development of about 2 lakh crores has taken place in Bihar. There will be no shortage of money for development in Bihar like Kuber. This is not the time of Congress; no one needs to worry.

Giriraj Singh said that when Lalu Yadav was playing in the lap of Congress, why was he not made to resign? Today they are asking for resignation, but what was he doing till some time back. Whom do they want to fool? He asked whether the people of Bihar are fools? On the question of whether government employees will be able to participate in RSS programs, Giriraj Singh said that RSS means Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. When there is a disaster in the country, the volunteer stands up. Volunteers are always ready to serve the people. If we look at the pages of history, in 1971 when the India-Pakistan war was going on, the volunteer worked as civil police.
