Lamborghini hit footpath on footpath near Sector 94, driver arrested

Police said on Sunday, a high-end Lamborghini hit two pedestrians on the pavement near an under-construction building in Sector 94, Noida. Officials confirmed that the injured had fracture in the feet of both the workers of Chhattisgarh, but they are out of danger. The driver has been identified as Deepak, a resident of Ajmer and luxury vehicle is registered in Puducherry. Police said he was arrested from the spot and the car has been confiscated.

An alleged video of the accident has surfaced online, in which the accused gets out of his car and asks people standing nearby, “Someone died here?” (Did anyone die here?). In the same video, one person is heard asking him about the number of people injured, while the other urges the mob to call the police.

Bhupendra Singh, in -charge of Sector 126 police station, said, “The injured workers were immediately rushed to the hospital. They have fracture in their feet, but their condition is not critical.” According to Singh, the accused claimed that the accident happened unknowingly and due to the mistake that happened while driving. The police is further investigating to find out the exact cause of the accident.

The incident once again exposes the dangers of careless driving in Noida, a city that has seen many high-speed accidents in recent months. Authorities have urged motor drivers to take care and to follow traffic rules to prevent such accidents.
