New Delhi. A soldier was killed in a terrorist attack on an Indian Air Force (IAF) convoy in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. Four other soldiers were injured. Now a big revelation has been made in this matter. According to top intelligence sources, the attack on an Indian Air Force (IAF) convoy in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district was the work of 4 Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists trained by Sajid Jatt. Sources said that a standard operating procedure (SOP) was developed after the previous attacks. As soon as the forces retaliated strongly, the terrorists fled. The search for the attacking terrorists is ongoing. The attack on the Air Force convoy took place around 6 pm on Saturday evening, when the convoy was returning from Jaranwali to the Air Force station. The movement of the Indian Air Force was probably for radar operation. The condition of two people is critical. About 17 terrorists in this area are from Sajid Jatt group.
Three weeks before voting in Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha constituency, terrorists ambushed an Indian Air Force convoy, killing one soldier (Corporal Vicky Pahade) and injuring four other soldiers. Voting is to be held in Poonch in the sixth phase on 25th May. Officials said that in the evening, four terrorists opened fire on Indian Air Force vehicles going towards Sanai Top in Surankote area of Poonch, in which five security personnel were injured. The condition of two of them was serious. One of the seriously injured soldiers later died during treatment in a military hospital.

Army officials suspect involvement of the same group of terrorists who had ambushed troops in Bufliaz on December 21 last year, killing four soldiers and injuring three. One of the trucks in the Indian Air Force convoy bore the brunt of the attack, with several bullets hitting its windscreen and side. Officials suspect that after carrying out the attack the terrorists fled into the nearby forests.

This area had become free from terrorism. This area remained peaceful between the years 2021 and 2023. Let us tell you that earlier on April 22, Mohammad Razak, brother of an army personnel and a government employee, was killed by terrorists in Kunda Top of Rajouri and on April 28, village defense guard Mohammad Sharif was killed in Basantgarh area of Udhampur. After that now the Air Force convoy has been attacked.
