'Life back on track...', SC's decision has come, Atul of Muzaffarnagar will study in IIT Dhanbad; Know the matter

Atul, resident of Muzaffarnagar, UP, will now study in IIT Dhanbad. The Supreme Court has issued an order to give admission to the labourer’s son. Actually, Atul could not deposit his fees of Rs 17500 on time. Due to which he did not get admission in IIT Dhanbad. After which the matter reached the Supreme Court. Now the Supreme Court has said that after the deadline for depositing fees, the student cannot be left in limbo. The Supreme Court said that he will have to take admission in IIT Dhanbad. Hostel etc. facilities will also have to be provided to the students. The court made it clear that this should not affect the students who have already taken admission in IIT. Atul will be given entry on the additional seat.

The bench headed by CJI DY Chandrachud gave the verdict. The court said that the admission of talented students who are already poor should not be banned. Let us tell you that during the last hearing, the Supreme Court had assured Atul of help. Apart from this, the court has also sent notice to IIT Madras and Joint Seat Allocation Authority.

The student cited family poverty as the reason for not paying the fees. Atul’s lawyer argued that it was not easy for the family to raise Rs 17,500 in a short time. Atul is originally a resident of Totora village of Muzaffarnagar. 18 year old Honahar’s father works as a labourer. Responding to the court order, Atul said that the train which had derailed has returned to the tracks. I will work harder to fulfill my dream of becoming an electrical engineer.
