Jaipur The team of CID Crime Branch Police Headquarters took major action against illicit liquor smuggling and detained a truck carrying a truck from Haryana to Gujarat liquor for supply under the guise of rice. The truck had 114 cartoons loads of Haryana -made illegal liquor worth Rs 12 lakh. The truck driver accused in the case has been arrested by the Muralipura police station.
Additional Director General of Police (Crime) Dinesh MN said that for the prevention of illegal criminal activities in the state and arrest of the accused, the State Crime Branch has been formed in various teams in the direction of Deputy Inspector General of Police Yogesh Yadav and supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Siddharth Sharma, which is compiling intelligence in this regard.
ADG MN said that the police team blockade and stopped the Gujarat number referenced truck near the number 14 culvert. The truck was filled with 30 tons of rice in the bags. Below which 114 cartoons of English liquor of various brands made of Haryana were hidden.
In the initial interrogation, the accused truck driver Sarfuddin son Shokat Age Bichhor, Police Station Indana, District Noonh, Haryana told the police that he was smuggling liquor from Haryana and taking him to Gujarat. Police seized the truck including illegal liquor and arrested the accused. The price of seized liquor is around 12 lakh rupees.
