Muzaffarpur. A huge crowd of devotees has gathered at Baba Garibnath Dham in Muzaffarpur on the third Monday of Sawan. The devotees started performing Jalabhishek from late Sunday night, after which a large number of Dak Bam and Shiv devotees started performing Jalabhishek through Argha from 12 midnight. During this time, the entire Shiva temple echoed with the chants of Har Har Mahadev and Bol Bam. There was a long queue of about 5 kilometers for Jalabhishek on the third Monday.

The temple priest Mahant Vinay Pathak said that this time more than 6 lakh devotees performed Jalabhishek. On the third Monday, a huge crowd of devotees gathered in Baba Nagari, due to which the district administration was facing a lot of difficulties in handling the situation. Due to the excessive crowd, there was chaos in the first few hours. During this time, the health of many people deteriorated.

However, the district administration and the temple administration had set up a health camp where people were given first aid. On receiving information about the chaos, DM Subrat Kumar Sen, SSP Rakesh Kumar and Urban SP Awadhesh Dixit from the control room worked with the team to restore law and order, after which, as usual, the devotees performed Jalabhishek to Bholenath through Argha.
