America will not send its army to Ukraine: Earlier, after discussions with the G-7 countries on the issue of Russian attack on Ukraine, US President Joe Biden said in his address that America will not send its forces to Ukraine. Biden called Russian President Putin an attacker, saying he had chosen war. During this, he also announced the imposition of new and tough economic sanctions against Russia. These range from sanctions against Russian banks and state-owned companies to disrupting Russian capabilities to trade in the world’s major currencies.
At the White House, the US President said that the world is united against Russia. We will not live without responding to this attack. America is at liberty. He warned that if there is any cyber attack from Russia, the US is ready to respond. Biden also announced the sending of more American troops to defend against Russian attacks against NATO allies. He said it was a dangerous moment for the whole of Europe and that the attack was never for Russia a real security concern.
The US president said it was a premeditated attack and Putin rejected the West’s efforts to negotiate and violated international law. He said the sanctions are such that they will have a long-term impact on Russia. America is also ready to take further action in this direction. He said the sanctions would hamper Russia’s ability to trade in the dollar, euro, pound and yen. Apart from this, there will be a meeting of NATO countries on Friday to consider further steps. He said Putin’s invasion of Ukraine would prove to be very costly for Russia. Putin will be excommunicated on the world stage.
