There is big news for the farmers of Jharkhand. The Chief Minister of the state Champai Soren has made a big announcement. The Chief Minister said that his coalition government will waive off the agricultural loan of up to two lakh rupees of the farmers and will increase the free electricity quota to 200 units. For this, he has asked the banks to submit a proposal.

Addressing a gathering at Gandhi Maidan in Jamshedpur to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of the development project, Soren said, “We have already waived off farmers’ loans of Rs 40,000 and are planning to increase it to Rs 2 lakh. Similarly, the existing base of 125 units of free electricity will be increased to 200 units.” He further said that farmers’ loans ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh will be waived through one-time settlement by March 31, 2020.
Recruitment process of 40,000 assistant teachers is going on
Soren emphasised the government’s commitment to provide a loan of Rs 25 lakh with 40 per cent subsidy to unemployed youth to start businesses for sustainable livelihood. He told the people that the recruitment process for 40,000 assistant teachers is underway and will be completed by September, while the recruitment of tribal and regional language teachers will begin next month.
He compared the policies of the current coalition government with those of the previous BJP government and alleged that 5,000 primary schools had been closed, while highlighting the setting up of Adarsh schools across the state by the coalition government.
