Shimla: After the announcement of Lok Sabha election date, the campaign has intensified in Himachal Pradesh. BJP-Congress are actively engaged in election campaign. Meanwhile, India TV-CNX tried to gauge the interest of the people of Himachal. In the opinion poll of India TV-CNX, BJP is once again seen getting an upper hand over Congress. Despite being in power in Himachal, Congress does not seem to be getting any benefit from it.

In the opinion poll of India TV-CNX on four seats of Himachal Pradesh, BJP is seen winning all the seats. This time Congress is not getting even a single seat here. BJP can also win the elections from Mandi, the stronghold of Congress state president Pratibha Virbhadra Singh.
BJP has announced its candidate
Actress and BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut is contesting from Mandi Lok Sabha seat. Meanwhile, BJP’s Rajeev Bhardwaj is contesting from Kangra seat. BJP candidate Suresh Kashyap is contesting from Shimla parliamentary constituency. Union Minister Anurag Thakur is once again contesting in Hamirpur. He has been winning elections from here many times in the past. He was elected MP from here in 2014 and 2019 also.
MP Virendra Kashyap may join Congress
According to sources, two-time BJP MP from Shimla Lok Sabha seat of Himachal Pradesh, Virendra Kashyap may join Congress. It is being told that Congress leaders have had two rounds of meetings with Virendra Kashyap. He may hold a meeting with CM Sukhu soon.
In Himachal Pradesh, Congress can announce the names of its candidates for the by-elections this week. The names of Devendra Jagi from Dharamshala seat of Kangra, Vivek Sharma from Kutlahar and Kuldeep Kumar from Sujanpur are almost certain.
