New Delhi. The results of the Lok Sabha elections are going to be announced today. By noon it will be completely clear whether this time Modi government will be formed at the center once again or the opposition will get a chance to gain power. Along with this, the fate of many big candidates is also going to be decided today.
Talking about the most prominent candidate, PM Narendra Modi has contested from Varanasi seat. Ajay Rai of Congress is the main candidate against him. Raebareli of UP is also a hot seat. Here Rahul Gandhi and Dinesh Pratap Singh of BJP are contesting. In Coimbatore, DMK’s Ganpati Rajkumar is against Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai. On Amethi seat, BJP’s Smriti Irani and Congress’s Kishori Lal Sharma are face to face. In Barmer-Jaisalmer, there is a contest between independent BJP’s Kailash Chaudhary, independent Ravindra Bhati and Congress’s Ummedram Beniwal. On Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag-Rajouri seat, PDP’s Mehbooba Mufti is contesting against National Conference’s Mian Altaf.
Talking about other big candidates, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and SP’s Ravidas Mehrotra contested from Lucknow. On the other hand, the victory and defeat will be decided between Home Minister Amit Shah and Congress’ Sonal Patel from Gandhinagar. On the Patliputra seat, there is a contest between Lalu Yadav’s daughter Misa Bharti and Ramkripal Yadav. On the Saran seat, there is a contest between Lalu’s other daughter Rohini Acharya and BJP’s Rajiv Pratap Rudy. BJP’s Ravi Shankar Prasad is the candidate from Patna Sahib seat. BJP’s Kangana Ranaut is also in the fray in Mandi. She is being challenged by Congress’ Vikramaditya Singh. In Puri, the victory and defeat will be decided between BJP’s Sambit Patra and BJD’s Arun Patnaik. On the North East Delhi seat, there is a contest between BJP’s Manoj Tiwari and Congress’ Kanhaiya Kumar. In Chandigarh, Congress’ Manish Tiwari and BJP’s Sanjay Tandon are face to face.
There is a contest between TMC’s Mahua Moitra and Rajmata Amrita Roy on the Krishnanagar seat of Bengal. At the same time, Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee has contested from the Diamond Harbor seat. AAP’s Sushil Gupta has contested against BJP’s Naveen Jindal in Kurukshetra. Congress’s Gaurav Gogoi and BJP’s Tapan Gogoi are in the contest in Jorhat. BJP’s Anil Baluni and Congress’ Ganesh Godiyal are in the contest on the Pauri Garhwal seat. BJP’s candidate on the Guna seat is Jyotiraditya Scindia. Congress’s Yadavendra Rao is in front of him. Congress’s Nakul Nath and BJP’s Vivek Sahu are in the contest in Chhindwara. Congress’s Shashi Tharoor has contested again in Thiruvananthapuram. BJP’s Rajiv Chandrashekhar has tried his luck against him. While in Baramati, Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule is in competition with her sister-in-law and Ajit Pawar’s wife Sunetra Pawar.
