New Delhi. Congress announced the name of its candidate tonight to contest the Nagpur Lok Sabha seat from Union Minister and senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari. Congress has fielded its current MLA Vikas Thackeray from Nagpur West seat.
Congress today released its fourth list of 46 candidates, in which candidates have been announced for 4 seats in Maharashtra. So far, Congress has fielded its candidates for 11 seats in Maharashtra.
Candidates have been declared for 4 Lok Sabha seats of Maharashtra, Nagpur, Ramtek (SC), Bhandara-Gondia and Gadchiroli-Chimur. Where voting is to be held on 19th April.

Vikas Thackeray from Nagpur, Rashmi Barve from Ramtek, Prashant Padole from Bhandara-Gondia and Namdev Kirsan from Gadchiroli-Chimur will contest for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections. Rashmi Barve is the president of Nagpur Zilla Parishad.
Let us tell you that the last date for filing nominations for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections is 27th March.

In the list released today, Congress’s Ajay Rai will give competition to PM Narendra Modi on the hot seat of Varanasi, while veteran party leader and former Madhya Pradesh CM Digvijay Singh will take on BJP in the election fray from Rajgarh.
